Helsingborgs Hockey Club förlänger med Jakub Kostelny

Vi är idag mycket glada över att kunna meddela att målvakten Jakub Kostelny förlänger sitt avtal med klubben.

Jakub har den Slovakiska klubben HK Dukla Trencin som moderklubb och har utöver det även representerat det Slovakiska landslaget på junior-nivå. Den 24-åriga målvakten kom till Helsingborg inför förra säsongen efter att ha spelat i den danska klubben Vojens. I HHC kom Jakub in och bildade ett av seriens absolut bästa målvaktspar med Calle Olovsson som båda var en stor del i att klubben lyckades ta klivet upp till HockeyTvåan.

Henrik Stenson om förlängningen:

”Jag är jätteglad att Jakub valt att fortsätta i Helsingborg. Han bevisade under den förra säsongen att han passar bra in i vårt lagbygge och bildade en otroligt stark målvaktsduo med Calle. Jag är övertygad om att både Jakub och Calle kommer fortsätta ta kliv och även vara ett av HockeyTvåans bästa målvaktspar”

Glad to have you on board for another season, Jakub! How does it feel to continue in Helsingborg?

Thank you. I’m super happy to continue in Helsingborg! We had a really good last season and I’m looking forward to build on that going in to the next season. 

Was there something specific that made you choose to stay?

Not really anything specific. It just feels like the club is on the right path and continues to take steps forward, and that’s something I want to be a part of.

Is there something particular you're excited about with the coming season?

To play games! Hopefully I can help the team win some as well. I think me and Calle makes a good team so I hope we both can continue to play well and develop. Looking forward to train with the new coach and meet the new guys also.

That’s a hard question haha! Since it’s a summer playlist I think I’ll have to go with “Summer Breeze” by The Main Ingredient. It’s a good song with a summer vibe!
